Splitting a Delaunay Triangulation in Linear Time1
Computing the Delaunay triangulation of n points requires usually a minimum of (n log n) operations, but in some special cases where some additional knowledge is provided, faster algorithms can be designed. Given two sets of points, we prove that, if the Delaunay triangulation of all the points is known, the Delaunay triangulation of each set can be computed in randomized expected linear time.
متن کاملEvaluating Chromatic Adaptation Transform Performance
The performance of many color science and imaging algorithms are evaluated based on their mean errors. However, if these errors are not normally distributed, statistical evaluations based on the mean are not appropriate performance metrics. We present a nonparametric method, called the Wilcoxon signed-rank test, which can be used to evaluate performance without making any underlying assumption ...
متن کاملOn Deletion in Delaunay Triangulation
This paper present how space of spheres and shelling can be used to delete e ciently a point from d-dimensional triangulation. In 2-dimension, if k is the degree of the deleted vertex, the complexity is O(k log k), but we notice that this number apply only to low cost operations; time consuming computations are done only a linear number of times. This algorithm can be viewed as a variation of H...
متن کاملConstrained Delaunay Triangulation Using Delaunay Visibility
An algorithm for constructing constrained Delaunay triangulation (CDT) of a planar straight-line graph (PSLG) is presented. Although the uniform grid method can reduce the time cost of visibility determinations, the time needed to construct the CDT is still long. The algorithm proposed in this paper decreases the number of edges involved in the computation of visibility by replacing traditional...
متن کاملA Quick Image Registration Algorithm Based on Delaunay Triangulation
The traditional image matching algorithms adopt more complex strategies when dealing with mismatch caused by a lot of noise. In this paper, a simple, intuitive and effective noise processing algorithm is proposed based on Delaunay triangulation in computational geometry. The algorithm extracts feature points using SIFT method, respectively establishes Delaunay triangulation in multi-spectral an...
